Paediatrician - Consultant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Paediatrician to join a well-established Paediatric Department in Western Australia. The successful candidate will provide Consultant-led care across inpatient, outpatient and neonatal services while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

Deliver Consultant-led General Paediatric inpatient care; Conduct outpatient paediatric clinics; Provide neonatal and newborn care; Participate in acute paediatric assessment and management; Support multidisciplinary care for infants, children and young people; Supervise and mentor junior medical staff; Contribute to clinical leadership and service development; Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities; Deliver safe, evidence-based, family-centred paediatric care

Requirements

UK CCT in Paediatrics or Irish CSCST in Paediatrics (or due to complete training shortly); Eligibility for Specialist Registration in Australia via the Expedited Specialist Pathway or another recognised specialist pathway; Consultant-level experience in General Paediatrics; Experience delivering inpatient, outpatient and neonatal care; Strong clinical decision-making skills; Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care; Experience working within multidisciplinary teams; Excellent communication and leadership abilities; Excellent clinical judgement; Strong leadership and organisational skills; Excellent written and verbal communication; Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams; Commitment to evidence-based practice; Commitment to clinical governance and continuous quality improvement; Teaching and supervision skills
