Paralegal Court of Protection

A respected law firm is seeking a compassionate and organised Court of Protection Paralegal to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Court of Protection Paralegal looking to develop their legal career within a specialist team supporting clients and their families. The successful Court of Protection Paralegal will work alongside experienced Partners and fee earners, gaining exposure to a broad range of Court of Protection matters while developing strong technical and client management skills. The successful Court of Protection Paralegal will join a supportive and experienced legal team with a strong focus on delivering high-quality advice and client care. The firm provides a collaborative environment where junior legal professionals can develop their knowledge, take on responsibility and build a long-term career within Court of Protection work. As the Court of Protection Paralegal you will support the team with the day-to-day management of client matters, legal documentation and financial administration.

Responsibilities

Supporting Partners and fee earners across a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters; Opening client files and completing onboarding and compliance checks; Drafting correspondence, legal documents and client communications; Maintaining accurate electronic and paper case files; Liaising with clients, families, professionals and third parties; Managing incoming calls, emails and correspondence; Assisting with financial administration, including client account records and payment processes

Requirements

Genuine interest in Court of Protection work and supporting vulnerable clients; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong organisation and attention to detail; Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines; Professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients and families

Nice to have

Previous legal experience is desirable, ideally within Court of Protection, Private Client or a similar area; LPC, Law Degree, CILEX or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
