Part-Time Math Tutor - Sunnyvale (Think Zone)

Think Zone, part of TAL Education Group, is dedicated to helping students in kindergarten through 8th grade build a strong foundation in mathematics. This is an opportunity to work with students at Think Zone Learning Center. We are looking for enthusiastic and dependable team members who enjoy working with children and are passionate about helping students grow in math and English.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized one-on-one math instruction to K-8 students; Assess student understanding and adapt teaching approach; Use curriculum resources and tools provided by Think Zone; Foster a supportive and encouraging environment; Help students develop foundational math skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities; Track student progress and provide regular feedback; Maintain professional and positive communication with parents and students

Requirements

Strong math proficiency with at least a high school diploma or equivalent; Clear and effective communication skills; Patience and empathy when working with students; Ability to personalize instruction based on individual student needs; Strong organizational skills; Genuine passion for education; Reliable and professional with a strong sense of responsibility; Available to work 2-4 hours per day, three times per week
