Parts Specialist

The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Follow and promote all company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.); Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selection of merchandise; Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed; Complete assigned company training relevant to position; Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering calls according to company policy, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering Low-Price Guarantee; Maintain and secure cash drawer, accept cash/checks, make change, process credit card transactions; Process exchanges and returns for credit; Address and resolve customer complaints; Assist with completion of daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receiving, stocking shelves, fronting/facing, cleaning; Perform daily operational tasks such as preparing returns, assisting with monthly stock adjustments, and inventory cycle counts; Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training; Perform in-store services (install wipers, test/charge batteries, test charging system, scan trouble codes, replace headlight capsules) where allowed; Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate; All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service; Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time; Driving record must meet the company mandated driving eligibility requirements

Nice to have

Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service; ASE certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
