Parts Specialist

The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service; Support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks; Follow and promote all company customer service programs; Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in their selection of merchandise; Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed; Complete assigned company training relevant to position; Answer customer calls according to company policy, accurately look up parts and quote prices, recommend premium and related items, and offer the Low-Price Guarantee; Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and/or checks, make change accurately, and process credit card transactions; Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies and procedures; Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner; Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, and cleaning; Perform daily operational tasks such as preparing merchandise returns for shipment to the distribution center, assisting with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts; Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after required training is completed; Perform in-store services for customers where state and local laws allow (e.g., install wipers, test and charge batteries, test charging system, scan vehicle trouble codes, replace headlight capsules); Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate (subject to driving eligibility requirements); All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service; Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Nice to have

Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service; ASE certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
