Patient Care Associate - 4 East (Telemetry) - FT - Nights - MRH

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities.

Responsibilities

Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly; Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating; Assist with transporting patients, as needed; Monitors patient status and response; Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff; Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including but not limited to: monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output; Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

No Degree or any other education earned; BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART); BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART); BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART); BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE); BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS); Three (3) months of patient care experience demonstrating the ability to perform basic patient care or certification of completion from formal training program; EKG and phlebotomy competencies are required within six (6) months of hire date.
