Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist- Center Based

Fully center-based position in which students attend for full school day (9am-3pm). Caseload consists of school-age children between the ages of 5-21 with varying developmental disabilities. Collaborate closely with on-site BCBAs, Special Education Teachers, OTs, PTs, etc.

Responsibilities

Design and implement creative individual and/or group therapeutic interventions for your caseload; Administer and create speech and language evaluations; Ongoing communication and collaboration with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Special Educators specifically related to overall language and functional communication; Oversight of student's Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices; Utilize students' behavior management strategies and behavior intervention plans during sessions; Maintain professionalism with families, school districts, and other professionals; Maintain accurate and timely attendance and billing logs; Create and maintain schedule; Collect data on each IEP goal and reports on progress quarterly; Provide input and attend/teleconference initial CSE meetings and/or annual reviews

Requirements

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (Clinical Fellows welcome to apply- must have NYSED TSSLD or pending); NYS SLP; ASHA (CCCs); NYSED Certifications: TSSLD or TSHH

Nice to have

Experience working with students with autism preferred; Experience programming Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Devices; Bilingual is a plus
