Peds Neurology- Full Time NP/PA

Atrium Health Levine Children’s (AHLC) is looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their Pediatric Neurology team. The PNP, FNP, or PA-C will assist the team in providing care for children while under the supervision of and in collaboration with a licensed physician. This is a hybrid role encompassing both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. This role requires a minimum of two years of experience as an APP working in either Pediatrics or in Neurology. This position may be offered full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and recurring assessments as needed; Records findings of examinations, assessments, and plans of care; Writes appropriate prescriptions, orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations, and determines treatment plan for patients; Documents all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner in the patient's medical record; Attends, participates, and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested; Provides care for children while under the supervision of and in collaboration with a licensed physician

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an APP working in either pediatrics or neurology; Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina; Must have or be eligible for a DEA license; Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice required (NP Applicants); Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required (PA Applicants)

Nice to have

Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred (PA Applicants)
