Pharmacy Dispenser

Montu is a specialist private pharmacy and digital health company focused on cannabis-based medicines (CBPMs). The dispenser will support the safe, accurate and efficient supply of CBPMs in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy, working alongside Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and the wider pharmacy team to help patients access their medication without unnecessary delays.

Responsibilities

Receiving and validating prescriptions ready for a clinical check; Processing patient information appropriately; Supporting the Responsible Pharmacist and Technicians in daily pharmacy operations; Being the first point of contact for any queries to the Pharmacy; Maintaining relevant records for the supply of CBPMs; Maintaining stock and security of CBPMs on site; Maintaining communication of prescriptions to the Department of Health to meet regulatory requirements; Supporting governance in the Pharmacy to ensure it operates as safely as possible

Requirements

UK qualified Pharmacy dispenser; Self-motivated with high levels of attention to detail, able to work accurately and identify errors quickly and easily; Experience working in a pharmacy dispensary (primary and/or secondary environment); Patience and ability to remain calm during stressful situations; Excellent communication skills with staff, patients and other healthcare professionals; Professional, ethical and committed to providing excellent customer care; Excellent computer literacy with good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ideally undertaken a CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational programme (provided for the successful candidate)
