Pharmacy Purchasing Technician

Join our Pharmacy Technician Supply Chain team! These roles are essential to maintaining and expanding our Health System Support Services. These positions are primarily scheduled for standard business hours (Monday–Friday).

Responsibilities

Pick, pack, and prepare medication orders for clinic distribution from the Southlake Warehouse; Support inventory movement between the Southlake facility and the main hospital pharmacy, including restocking and coordination; Perform medication repackaging, converting bulk medications into unit-dose preparations using established safety standards; Assist with nonsterile compounding, including preparation of topical medications per formulas and procedures; Collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to ensure efficient operations across multiple Health System locations; Prepares medications for dispensing; Distributes medications and stock items; Maintains Pharmacy Inventory; Operates pharmacy computer systems; Compliance and recordkeeping; Patient Care; Medication Safety

Requirements

High School Graduate or GED; 2 or more years experience as a pharmacy technician in a comparable setting OR at least 18 months experience as a pharmacy technician at The University of Kansas Health System; Pharmacy Technician Registration - State Board of Pharmacy Kansas and/or Missouri - per work state upon Hire; Technician must maintain certification on an ongoing basis and complete all continuing education requirements; Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR equivalent National Pharmacy Technician Certification
