Physical Therapist l - Inpatient

Full-time Physical Therapist position in Adult Inpatient Services at Carolinas Rehabilitation Mount Holly, Belmont, NC, with Monday through Thursday 10:00-5:30, Friday 9:00-5:30, weekend coverage, and holiday rotation. Pay range: $38.20 - $57.30.

Responsibilities

Provide direct therapy services to patients admitted to a level of care requiring service 7 days a week, including holidays; Evaluate patients, select and administer assessment techniques, and establish patient care plans including modalities, procedures, exercise programs, therapeutic groups and patient education; Gather and interpret data from the medical record, physician reports, patient, and/or family; Document evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, attendance records, patient/family education, outcomes, discharge notes, and charges; Communicate patient evaluation and progress to physicians, referral sources, and clinical staff, and coordinate schedules, treatment programs, and discharge planning; Supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs/Aides as required for licensure

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy program; Applicable state license for Physical Therapy; BLS required per policy guidelines; Hearing (corrected) adequate for oral/aural communication; Vision (corrected) adequate for reading; Intelligible speech and adequate language/cognitive skills; Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day; Ability to lift patients, equipment or supplies up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally; Ability to laterally transfer patients up to 100 pounds rarely; Ability to demonstrate exercises and activities to patients/caregivers
