Responsibilities

Evaluates and treats patient populations for physical therapy needs; Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to issues identified, required frequency of treatments, and involves the patient and family; Supervises activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel; Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition; Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress. Provides information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources; Plans or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.

Requirements

Accredited Program: Physical Therapy (Required); BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association; BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association; BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association; BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential; BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross; Physical Therapist License (PT LICENSE) - State of Florida; No prior work experience required; Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision; Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action; ACCOUNTABILITY; CLINICAL POLICIES AND STANDARDS; CUSTOMER SERVICE; DOCUMENTATION; EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION; PATIENT AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE; PROBLEM SOLVING; RESPONDING TO CHANGE; STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR
