Physical Therapist, PRN, Outpatient

Position Highlights: PRN; Setting: Outpatient. Schedule Details/Additional Information: Cross training to acute hospital for rotational weekend coverage required.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care assessment and treatment; ensure patient evaluations and treatments are comprehensive, functional and according to Standard of Practice; interpret evaluation results and establish acceptable treatment plan with realistic goals; maintain accurate patient documentation; complete written patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes per policy; ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient/family education, charges and departmental statistics, and ICD-9 codes; meet department financial and productivity standards; understand budgeted expectations; maintain productivity standards; adjust individual schedules to meet needs of patient and department; participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency; identify quality and operational opportunities; promote professional development and education of other health care workers; provide representation on committees; conduct in-service training programs; supervise physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students; communicate professionally and timely with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers; provide appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines; adhere to general hospital standards to promote cooperative work environment

Requirements

Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of North Carolina with current licensure; Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited physical therapy school; CPR certification required every two years

Nice to have

Active member of APTA encouraged, but not required; Pediatric experience is a plus; Outpatient adult general practice with lymphedema preferred
