Cashel Palace Hotel is looking for a Prep Chef to join our culinary team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with food, takes pride in doing things properly and would like to be part of a professional kitchen team in a luxury five-star hotel.

The Role

Working closely with our chefs, you will help ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for service. Your responsibilities will include:

Previous kitchen experience or food safety/HACCP training would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Preparing fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, and other ingredients; Completing daily mise en place; Preparing basic stocks, sauces, garnishes, and other food items; Portioning, labelling, and storing food correctly; Assisting with deliveries and stock rotation; Keeping preparation areas clean, organised, and ready for service; Following HACCP, food safety, and allergen procedures at all times

Requirements

Reliable, organised, and hardworking; Comfortable working as part of a busy kitchen team; Particular about cleanliness and food hygiene; Able to work efficiently and consistently; Interested in food and keen to learn
