Prep Cook

The main purpose of this job is to be responsible for food preparation and kitchen support.

Responsibilities

Responsible for food preparation and kitchen support; Keep the kitchen clean and orderly; Ensure the Chef is able to prepare the menu efficiently by ensuring all ingredients are in stock, parboiling foods, and season and prepare the necessary ingredients for cooking; Wash cutlery and dishes; Prepare some dishes such as salads or other less complex menu items; Set out all of the Chef’s ingredients before each shift and refill as necessary; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Basic knowledge of kitchen preparation and sanitation, including knowledge of best practices; Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities; Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values; Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook; High school diploma or GED required
