Production Operator - Entry

Production Operator - Entry (3rd Shift) at Downers Grove, Illinois. Base rate per hour: $23.00. Duties include operating and adjusting the Moulder, feeding pans, and performing makeup and packaging tasks as assigned. Must follow HACCP/CTS/GMP/JSA standards, maintain food safety, and meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Operates, sets up and adjusts Moulder; observes proper moulding of dough; lifts/reaches up to 10 lbs to fill flour sifter; lifts up to 15 lbs for pans of dough; keeps conveyors scraped and unjams pans; follows HACCP/CTS/GMP/JSA standards; assists other Line 3 positions; places pans weighing approximately 6.5 lbs on feed conveyor; removes pans from conveyor at downtime and end of shift; stacks pans on pan trucks; moves pan trucks weighing up to 1500 lbs approximately 30 ft; may be assigned to makeup and packaging positions; racks products; monitors bags and checks quality of product and packaging materials; maintains specific product weights at the divider; sets up oven and proofer per product centerlining and CTS; operates bagger and kwik-lok machines; cases product into baskets or cases; monitors bags and codes for clarity and correctness; feeds product into slicer or bagger; racks and unracks bread

Requirements

Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Strong decision making and communication skills; Ability to utilize/exercise good judgment; Ensure issues are quickly resolved and communicated with supervision; Full understanding and adherence to HACCP, CTS, SOP, Safety, GMP, and JSA standards; Focused awareness and prevention of contamination/potential contamination, allergen control, and lot code traceability; Abide by exact formula specifications and procedures; Maintain work area to 5S cleanliness, housekeeping and organizational standard; Stand for extended periods of time; Use hands, fingers and arms to reach, feel product and manipulate materials and equipment; Walk, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear; Ability to use senses to diagnose and troubleshoot problems; Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy loads on wheeled dollies; Work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to vibration, fumes, airborne particles, temperature extremes, high industrial noise, forklift traffic, wet environments; Comply with safety regulations and use prescribed safety equipment; Ability to deal with changing work environment and high-pressure situations; Work in a team environment; Good attendance and punctuality required; Must stay on the job one year
