Professional Handyman Service Technician II

Responsibilities

Completing maintenance & repairs, including commercial and residential small to medium maintenance and repairs and project team remodels; Making recommendations and managing expectations with customers; Creating life-long customers by delivering a great experience; Following the Mr. Handyman Way; Self-managing as you’ll be alone often; Speaking with customers and providing excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments; Documenting the job while following the Mr. Handyman Way; Wearing proper PPE and booties to protect the customer’s home

Requirements

Live within the area; 10+ years’ experience as a paid handyman; Own your own tools; Be insurable for driving our vehicle; Complete and pass a background and driving record check; Able to lift 50 pounds independently; Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time; Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; Strong proficiency in at least three of: carpentry work; bathroom improvements; kitchen improvements; painting, both inside and out; drywall work, minor and major repairs; general plumbing and electrical, where allowed by law; floor installation and refurbishing; familiar with building codes; Cultural alignment working in a flexible, fast paced, young franchise environment; Buy-in to executing the Mr. Handyman Way and delivering an exceptional customer experience; Coachable with strong organizational skills and attention to detail while demonstrating excellent communication skills with customers and team members
