Program Manager, Buildings

The Program Manager, Buildings in the Mayor's Office of Capital Project Development (within the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Operations) will support the team responsible for capital project coordination and implementation across City Agencies.

Responsibilities

Serve as a liaison between the Deputy Mayor for Operations and the capital project teams at the City's critical infrastructure agencies; Support strategic planning and project execution for large-scale infrastructure projects across the five boroughs; Facilitate interagency coordination, set timelines and milestones, review capital improvement plans, and ensure compliance with standards; Monitor best practices, latest trends, and make policy and operational recommendations for high-profile capital projects; Support the implementation of infrastructure projects necessary to advance neighborhood planning initiatives; Coordinate Deputy Mayor briefings, prep materials, and calendaring and support DMO staff members as needed; Participate in internal and external meetings with or on behalf of the Deputy Mayor to ensure appropriate follow-up; Develop and facilitate systems and processes for City Hall coordination; Coordinate across Deputy Mayor teams

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required; 5+ years of experience working in capital project management and capital delivery for large-scale infrastructure projects; Experience working in capital project delivery and interagency coordination; Business operations, process design, and project management experience; Ability to operate independently with excellent time management skills; Confirmed ability to deliver on multiple, competing priorities in a dynamic environment; Ability to effectively interact with people and partners across all levels of City government; Proven ability to follow through on complex projects from ideas to implementation; Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and compelling presentations
