Project Director – Maritime Infrastructure

This role will be based in the Philippines (Makati City). This role is open to Filipino nationals and those having a work permit for the Philippines. Candidates living outside the Philippines are also welcome to apply as they will be given an expat local contract.

Responsibilities

set the strategic direction for and be the custodian of knowledge, skills, and expertise (knowledge management); develop priority market sector and discipline knowledge groups to remain state-of-the-art; promote thought leadership and technical development; delegate to knowledge managers while retaining overall responsibility for knowledge management; facilitate open collaboration between business lines and geographies; promote cross-business line and transnational knowledge management including brokering; secure knowledge and best practice sharing using available systems and tools; stimulate innovation within and across business lines and regions; ensure innovation is structured and controlled with a focus on commercialisation; identify trends, potential disruptive technologies and opportunities; develop links with academic institutions; encourage profiling especially on leading services; support excellence and improvement of project management delivery; grow the Philippine team together with the associate director for Maritime; review consistency of technical quality of deliverables; champion and share best practice and lessons learned within the business unit and Asia Pacific region; identify areas for improvement in the efficiency of design processes; support the technical skills and training needs of the team; liaise with business development directors and business developers on market trends and opportunities; win more maritime projects for the Philippines and manage some projects

Requirements

bachelor's degree in civil engineering; has experience with an international engineering consultancy firm; experience with leading/managing maritime projects and winning new maritime projects; has experience in growing the team and managing people; experience with working transnationally; has handled projects that amount to more than 5 million euro; high level of technical credibility; can work full-time; excellent English communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to manage clients (entrepreneurial and excellent networker); able to influence at different levels in the organization; good commercial and contractual understanding

Nice to have

master's degree in Civil Engineering; offshore wind experience
