Project Manager, Transportation Infrastructure

Chandos Calgary, Kanada
Vollzeit Arbeit vor Ort

Veröffentlichungsdatum: 02.11.2026

Chandos is seeking a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex transportation infrastructure projects throughout Western Canada. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying close to the work and collaborating with field operations, clients, consultants, and preconstruction teams to drive project success from start to finish. While based in Calgary, project-related travel will be required. This is not a purely office-based role. We are looking for a builder who understands project execution, can anticipate and manage risk, and is comfortable spending time in the field supporting construction teams. The role is focused on complex transportation structures, including bridges, LRT infrastructure, transit stations, and transit hubs. Applicants whose experience is primarily in highway paving, asphalt production and placement, road resurfacing or widening, underground municipal servicing, or linear road construction with limited structural scope are likely not a fit.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of transportation infrastructure projects from mobilization through closeout; Partner closely with field leadership, preconstruction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients; Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, procurement, and contract administration; Develop and maintain accurate cost reports, cash flow projections, and project forecasts; Monitor project performance and proactively identify cost, schedule, and execution risks; Support change management, claims, and client communications; Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and in accordance with Chandos quality standards; Collaborate with superintendents and project teams to optimize construction sequencing and project execution

Requirements

4+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor (not self-development); Experience delivering bridges, LRT infrastructure, transit stations/hubs, or other complex transportation structures; Proven experience managing project forecasts, budgets, cost control, schedules, risk, and change management; Strong understanding of how construction sequencing impacts project cost, productivity, and risk; Experience working directly with clients, consultants, field operations, and subcontractors; Willing and able to travel up to 40-50% as required

Nice to have

Experience with self-perform crews; Experience with structural concrete; Experience with structural steel; Experience with complex staged construction

Benefits

100% employee ownership; Competitive wages; Competitive bonus program; Employer-paid health, dental, and vision care benefits; Employee assistance program; RRSP matching program; Educational assistance for job-performance enhancing education; Recognition and annual salary reviews; Leadership conferences; Regular company-wide engagement opportunities
