Qualifications & Requirements

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documentation.; Review drawings and specifications to identify project requirements and cost implications.; Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for construction projects.; Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control processes.; Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative analyses.; Prepare and administer contracts, variations, progress claims, and final accounts.; Monitor project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.; Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors.; Assess and certify subcontractor progress payments.; Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and industry standards.; Support procurement activities and material cost evaluations.; Prepare periodic commercial and financial reports for management.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Quantity Surveying or; Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Minimum 5–7 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.; Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.; Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and cost management.; Proficiency in quantity surveying and estimation software.; Strong understanding of BOQ preparation and tendering processes.; Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.; Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.; Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
