Quantity Surveyor

A respected independent property and construction consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Norwich team, with opportunities available from Project Surveyor through to Associate level. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be involved in delivering pre and post-contract cost management services, supporting clients through cost planning, procurement, tender documentation, contract administration, valuations and final accounts. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered commercially, efficiently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

cost planning; procurement advice; tender reporting; valuations; change control; cost reporting; final account negotiations; support client meetings; manage commercial risks; provide clear, practical advice throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

Strong background as a Quantity Surveyor within a PQS or construction consultancy environment; Experience from Project Surveyor through to Associate level will be considered; MRICS, working towards MRICS, or qualified by experience will be considered; Associate Partner candidates must be chartered and able to offer potential for new fee-earning work; Strong communication skills, commercial awareness and the ability to build long-term client relationships

Nice to have

Infrastructure experience would be advantageous, particularly at Senior Surveyor level; Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a similar construction-related discipline is beneficial
