Radiologic Technologist - Outpatient - Per Diem. Day shift coverage at outpatient AMG XRAY department.

Responsibilities

Determination of appropriate radiological technique and position for patient using immobilization and support devices; Operates radiology equipment appropriately; Adherence to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care; Coordination of quality control tasks; Performs clerical duties such as maintaining patient records, daily statistics, answering telephones, scheduling examinations; Administers CPR as necessary; Prepares contrast media as necessary; Performs quality control activities; Coordinates patient flow and communicates with provider to ensure exams are completed in a timely fashion; Performs orders management tracking functions

Requirements

IDNS license; Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology; Knowledge of Health Information System; Basic knowledge of radiology equipment; CPR certification; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registered (ARRT); Able to make independent professional decisions pertaining to high quality patient care; High degree of technical skills; Must be able to function with minimal assistance in performing job activities; Ability to deal with extremely ill patients; Ability to lift and/or move patients; Ability to work under stressful conditions, in difficult situations; Ability to work during site hours of operation; Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance; For patient lifts over 35 pounds, patient handling equipment expected
