Radiology Technician I CMC

Determines appropriate radiographic technique and positions patients; operates radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, computed radiography and PACS equipment; adheres to department standards of radiographic quality; delivers patient care; ensures a secure and safe patient and work environment; develops leadership skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Determines appropriate radiographic technique and positions patients using immobilization and support devices; Operates radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, computed radiography and PACS equipment; Adheres to department standards of radiographic quality; Delivers patient care in accordance with department standards of continued quality improvement; Ensures a secure and safe patient and work environment; Develops leadership skills and professionalism through participation in committees and continuing education programs

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology; Knowledge of Radiology Information Computer System; Ability to anticipate patient, employee and department needs and refer for action; Good communication skills; Licensed Radiographic Technologist by the IDNS/IEMA; CPR Certification; ARRT Registry eligible; Ability to recognize the needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients treated; Ability to operate portable equipment; Ability to deal with extremely ill patients; Ability to communicate with patients; Ability to adjust to flexible work hours; Ability to work weekends, holidays, and emergency call-back; Ability to participate in on-call program; Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
