Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

A well-established therapeutic children's residential provider is seeking a Registered Manager for one of its specialist homes in a peaceful rural setting in the North West. Set in a converted farmhouse surrounded by open countryside, this home provides high-quality therapeutic care and education for up to four boys aged 11 to 18. The home is currently rated Inadequate with OFSTED and does need a very strong manager in place to lead an inexperienced staff team.

Responsibilities

Providing full operational leadership of the children’s home; Ensuring the smooth and effective running of the service; Managing and supporting a diverse, high-performing care team; Overseeing care planning, safeguarding practices, and risk management strategies; Working collaboratively with education teams and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure the delivery of holistic, child-centred care; Promoting the home to internal and external stakeholders; Producing detailed reports and performance data in line with key performance indicators (KPIs); Driving continuous improvement across all areas of the service; Contributing to wider organisational projects and development initiatives to support the strategic growth and innovation of the service

Requirements

Experience as a Registered Manager, or at least two years’ experience as a Deputy Manager with the ambition and readiness to step into the Registered Manager role; Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills; A genuine commitment to trauma-informed, therapeutic care approaches
