Registered Nurse - Pratt 4 South (Full-Time 7pm-7:30am)

Manages individualized, outcome oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process. Provides care, treatment and services through the successful coordination and completion of a series of processes that include assessment, planning care, providing care, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Manages individualized, outcome oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process; Provides care, treatment and services through assessment, planning care, providing care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures; Administers, transcribes, and records medications per SSH policies; Completes medication reconciliation process; Develops, evaluates and updates individualized plan of care; Initiates admission assessment within 8 hours of admissions; Documents all patient care following nursing policy and standards; Assesses/reassesses and documents patient's level of comfort and response to interventions; Facilitates discharge/transfer by goal of 12:00pm; Fosters a culture of safety; Ensures environment meets regulatory requirements; Obtains at least 5 contact hours per year in area of practice; Utilizes technological solutions; Complies with legal, regulatory and ethical standards; Conveys respect for patient and family values; Possesses age and cultural knowledge

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; RN - Registered Nurse; RN-Registered Nurse - Board of Registration in Nursing (Massachusetts); Depending on department Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Emergency Response Training Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required
