Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health

Inpatient Behavioral Health / Department Expectations. Adults: Wide range of diagnoses, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric conditions. Teamwork, high emphasis on building therapeutic relationships with patients. Collaborative. Schedule: 0.9 FTE, 0700-1930; 36 hours per week, rotating holidays and weekends. Benefits Eligible: Yes.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication; Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum; Medication administration; Care documentation; Interdisciplinary team treatment planning; 1 to 1 patient communication; Advocate for patient needs

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice to have

Minimum 1 year of RN experience in psychiatric nursing; CPI deescalation certification; Communication; Hard-working; Multi-tasking; Engagement; Collaborative
