Registered Nurse RN Cath Lab

As a Registered Nurse within the Cardiac Cath Lab at Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, AZ, you will work in conjunction with the Physician and Specialty tech to perform procedures. The Cath Lab team consists of RNs, Physicians, and Special Procedure Technologists (ARRT). The unit offers a wide variety of cardiac procedures, including diagnostic, structural, and electrophysiology, and serves pediatric and adult patients. Shift details: Full-time, 3 x 12 hr shifts, Monday to Friday, Day shift 6:30AM - 7:30PM.

Responsibilities

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; Formulate and revise plan of care in collaboration with patient, family and multidisciplinary team; Implement plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision; Evaluate patient response to care and teaching; Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record; Provide care based on best evidence and participate in education, orientation, precepting and mentoring; Work with the Physician and Special Procedure Technologist to perform cardiac procedures; Interact with physicians, patients, families and other health care providers

Requirements

Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice; BLS certification required; Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice; Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area through annual validations; Required night, holiday and weekend call; must live within 30 mins of facility for call requirement

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree preferred; Professional certification preferred; Additional related education and/or experience preferred; Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired
