Registered Nurse (RN)- ICU

Join the high-performing ICU team at Aurora Medical Center Burlington, a dynamic 10-bed critical care unit that blends the warmth of a community hospital with the complexity of a regional critical-care hub. Our ICU cares for a diverse mix of medical, surgical, cardiac, and neuro-critical patients, providing advanced hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, vasoactive infusions, and complex post-operative care. With a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, our nurses practice at the top of their license and thrive in an environment built on exceptional teamwork, shared governance, and a deep commitment to quality and safety. Schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week (1845-0715), various weekend shifts, and a Holiday A/B rotation. Hours per week: 36.

Responsibilities

Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by American Heart Association within 6 months of hire
