Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro

PRN Nights 7p-7a position in a 23-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neurological care. The unit is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center and holds Advanced Spine Care Certification. Patient populations include stroke patients, elective spine surgeries, seizure disorders, and other neurological conditions such as Myasthenia Gravis, MS, ALS, Huntington's Disease, and Dementia/Alzheimer's Disease.

Responsibilities

Providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process; Delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication; Leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice to have

ACLS; telemetry; critical drips such as Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin; NIHSS; Neuro patient care experience
