Registered Nurse (RN) - New Graduate - Medical Oncology

Join the 18-bed medical/surgical oncology unit at Aurora Medical Center Grafton, where you will care for a vast variety of patients. The unit specializes in the care of patients with medical needs such as sepsis, various infections, kidney and liver failure, and other diagnoses, as well as oncology patients for treatment and complications related to cancer. There is also a focus on Age-friendly and End of Life population. Schedule: Full-time, 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week; nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am; every third weekend and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
