Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery

Aurora Summit Surgery is a high-volume, fast-paced OR supporting approximately 25 cases per day across 12 operating rooms, including two dedicated trauma rooms and two dedicated robotic rooms. The department cares for both inpatient and outpatient elective and trauma patients across a wide range of specialties including trauma, orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, general surgery, neuro, plastics, ophthalmology, pain, and cysto, with orthopedics making up nearly 50% of overall volume. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association or within 6 months; Previous RN experience required
