Reservations Coordinator

Situated atop the scenic bluffs overlooking Santa Monica Beach, Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows is just a stone's throw away from some of Southern California’s best attractions including Santa Monica Pier and its historic carousel as well as Third Street Promenade -- famous for its fine restaurants, live entertainment, movie theatres, shopping, local artists' scene and a weekly farmer’s market.

Reporting to the Revenue Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service; Book and enter room reservation requests using the Property Management System; Enter rooming lists while ensuring accuracy, as required; Take ownership of the caller’s request and ensure follow up according to the hotel’s standards; Review daily arrivals and audit duplicate reservations, special requests (such as connecting, nearby, etc.).; Communicate with Front Office/Guest Services team to ensure requests are followed through; Update reservations ensuring a flawless check in and check out process; Ensure revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms and recommending hotel facilities; Liaise with Sales and other departments as required; Answer telephone and email inquiries in a timely manner

Requirements

Previous customer related experience required; Previous Property Manager System (Opera) experience preferred; Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required; Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities; Highly responsible & reliable; Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment; Ability to work cohesively as part of a team; Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
