Respiratory Therapist II - FT - Nights - $20K Sign on Bonus - MHP

Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care. Summary: Serves as resource and mentor for less experienced therapists providing care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

Responsibilities

Serves as resource and mentor for less experienced therapists; Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance; Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment; Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care; Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition; Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and resources; Provides staff training and education; Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures; Maintains requirements of Clinical Ladder

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; BLS certification (American Heart or Red Cross); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT) license - State of Florida or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (TT) license; Two years of clinical experience with one year in an area of specialty; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Pediatric areas; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Adult areas

Nice to have

ICU experience preferred; National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential is preferred
