Respiratory Therapist-Louisiana (Contract)

We’re hiring Respiratory Therapists and Certified Pulmonary Function Testing Technicians to perform simple spirometry testing (pre/post albuterol) at primary care clinics in Lafayette, New Orleans, and Shreveport areas of Louisiana.

Responsibilities

Perform pre/post simple spirometry testing with a handheld device; Prepare and coach patients through testing to ensure comfort and accuracy; Accurately grade each effort and upload results remotely for physician review; Monitor patient safety during procedures; Maintain testing equipment and follow quality and safety protocols; Represent Crosswalk Health professionally at each clinic site

Requirements

Must have experience performing bedside or complete PFTs and understanding possible side effects of albuterol administration; Proficiency in respiratory therapy practices, procedures, and terminology; Comfortable working independently and traveling locally (within a 45 minute radius); Available two to five days per week; Dependable and reliable; Flexible and adaptable; Personable and professional with a natural ability to build rapport; A team player who enjoys being part of a tight-knit RT community and is proud to represent a growing healthcare company; Passionate about respiratory care and delivering excellent patient experiences
