RN - Adult Emergency - District Float Pool - Per Diem - Midshift - MSS

Summary: Provides direct patient care on assigned units in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities: Demonstrates flexibility and competency to provide patient care throughout the South Broward Hospital District to a variety of patient populations. Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires. Evaluates learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient admission, transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Requirements

Accredited Program: Nursing (Required); Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida; BLS Certification (American Heart E-Card, American Heart non-ecard, or Red Cross); ACLS Certification required for ED; Two years of nursing experience in field of specialty; Ability to work throughout the South Broward Hospital District in specialty units
