RN Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Part-Time Night shift available (6pm-6:30am) in the Emergency Department at Banner Boswell Medical Center. The ED primarily cares for adults needing emergency services, treats pediatrics, sees over 48,000 patients annually, is a Level 4 Trauma Center, and has 56 licensed beds. The ED team focuses on Stroke, Cardiac, and Pediatric Care and holds NIHSS Stroke Gold Elite Plus, Chest Pain and Pediatric Preparedness accreditations. Rotating weekends and holidays apply.

Responsibilities

Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; Formulates and revises plan of care in collaboration with patient, family and multidisciplinary team; Implements plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision; Evaluates patient and family response to care and teaching; Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record; Provides care based on the best evidence available; Participates in unit or facility shared leadership and in education, precepting and mentoring; Interacts with staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts regarding patient health care

Requirements

Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice; BLS certification required; Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area through annual validations; Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice

Nice to have

Experienced ED RNs preferred; Experience in the clinical area desired; Bachelor's degree preferred; Professional certification preferred; Additional related education and/or experience preferred
