RN Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit Registry

Banner Staffing Services (BSS) offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health, utilized as needed within facilities. Per Diem positions require working at least 2 shifts a month. Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered. The position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice.

Responsibilities

Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; Formulates and revises plan of care in collaboration with patient, family and multidisciplinary team; Implements plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health care team; Evaluates patient and family response to care and teaching; Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record; Provides care based on best evidence available and may participate in research activities; Participates in unit or facility shared leadership and in education and orientation of personnel, patients, students, families and visitors; Promotes growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate; Supervises staff and workflow in some roles; Interacts with staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts regarding patient health care

Requirements

Minimum of 18 months of RN work experience; Minimum of 12 months of recent work experience on a Progressive Care Unit (within the last year and a half); BLS and ACLS required upon hire; Available to attend both virtual and in-person training during the first week (full-time, week-long orientation commitment); Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice; BLS certification required; Experience in the clinical area for which the candidate is applying is desired; Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area through annual validations; Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting, including work in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area; Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check (employment, criminal and education)
