As a waiter, you are expected to deliver prompt, efficient, consistent, professional, and engaging service to all guests. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. Key expectations include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, efficient, and professional service to all hotel and restaurant guests; Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, including prices, preparation processes, and allergen information; Complete all mise en place tasks before service, including table setup and side station preparation; Take and process food and beverage orders accurately using the point of sale system; Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness of the restaurant area; Handle guest billing and payment processes efficiently; Adhere to Health, Hygiene, and Safety standards; Perform room service duties as required; Assist with special functions setup and breakdown

Requirements

Secondary School education: minimum of 3 CXC passes; Good oral communication skills; Ability to speak a foreign language (particularly French, German, or Italian) is an asset; Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not required; Ability to work weekends and bank holidays
