Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant to join our Accounts & Tax team. This role will primarily focus on the preparation of statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns for a varied portfolio of limited company clients.

Responsibilities

Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies; Preparation of Corporation Tax returns and computations; Preparation of Personal Tax returns; Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries; Preparing and submitting accounts to Companies House; Supporting clients with general accounting and taxation queries; Managing your own client portfolio and meeting deadlines; Senior role: Reviewing accounts and tax work prepared by junior team members, providing feedback and technical support

Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years' experience working in a similar role within a UK accountancy practice; Previous UK practice experience is essential; Part-qualified ACA or ACCA (minimum requirement); Experience preparing statutory accounts for limited companies; Experience preparing Corporation Tax returns; Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software (ideally Xero); Excellent attention to detail; Strong organisational and communication skills; Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively; Positive, professional and client-focused approach; Recent UK accountancy practice experience

Nice to have

Newly qualified ACA or ACCA (particularly for Senior level applicants); Experience reviewing work completed by junior team members; Experience using TaxCalc (or similar accounts and tax software)
