Senior Cloud Security Engineer

The Security Team of Scopely Explore (formerly known as Niantic) seeks a Cloud Security Engineer to improve the security stance of our infrastructure and production environments. Scopely Explore Engineering leads the development and operation of multiple successful mobile games. We seek creative engineers with excellent technical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and an eagerness to embrace new technologies. Responsibilities

Guide teams making the right security decisions when building out new infrastructure; Build automation to keep environment safe for engineers to use; Advanced understanding of foundational cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and IAM; Participate in the management of the Cloud Security posture across the organization and multi cloud environments; Own and improve existing infrastructure and tooling for security; Leverage new technologies to elevate Scopely Explore security; Collaborate with engineering teams on the rollout of security measures; Help shape the security strategy of the company through innovation

Requirements

Programming skills in one main programming language (e.g., Go, Java, Python); 3+ years of experience in a global company with cloud-centric infrastructure; In-depth understanding of cloud technologies; Experience building out tooling, helping engineers and improving security; Strong communication and team skills in a distributed environment; Experience driving organization wide changes in fast moving environments; Coding skills sufficient to automate tasks when needed (will be tested during recruitment process)
