Senior Commercial Asset Management Lead - BESS

Mint Selection have partnered with a leading investor and asset manager to recruit a Senior Commercial Asset Management Lead in London to lead the commercial asset management arm of the business. The client are a renewable infrastructure investor focused on developing and managing clean energy and energy storage assets, with ambitions to support decarbonisation through a diversified portfolio of energy-transition investments.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a small commercial asset management team; Oversee the commercial performance of a renewable energy and energy transition portfolio; Manage multiple revenue streams; Support market participation activities including bidding strategies and auction submissions; Maintain relationships with route-to-market providers and trading counterparties; Lead the annual budgeting process across the portfolio; Oversee the preparation of monthly commercial reporting; Manage commercial agreements across the portfolio; Oversee portfolio insurance arrangements; Support front-office activities including service bidding and commercial negotiations; Oversee back-office processes relating to revenue settlements and balancing arrangements; Evaluate new revenue opportunities; Provide commercial leadership on strategic initiatives; Identify process improvements and implement scalable solutions.

Requirements

Degree educated in an Engineering, Numerical, Economical or Science discipline; Several years experience in the renewable energy industry, preferably in a trading, optimisation or regulated environment; Experience in Solar PV, Onshore Wind and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects; Strong analytical skills – ability to interpret large and complex data; Solid leadership and people development experience.
