Senior Designer II, Civil Engineering

As our firm continues to grow, we continue to be on the lookout for the next great design leader; you. We are currently seeking a Senior Designer II to join our Civil Engineering team in Orlando. This is an experienced role that requires technical expertise in site design where the candidate will independently manage projects and train Designers at all levels.

Responsibilities

Developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and leading project teams in permitting, engineering and construction activities; Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD and other civil engineering design and modeling software; Complete required engineering calculations and technical summaries; Knowledgeable of local jurisdiction and state permitting / approval processes; Perform construction administration related duties such as site visits, field reports, shop drawing review, and respond to contractor RFI’s; Able to coordinate and effectively communicate with people in other disciplines, with clients, and with jurisdiction reviewers and staff; Mentor, manage and train Designers

Requirements

Technical expertise in site design; Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study; Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office, and VantagePoint; Professional Engineer (PE) License in respective state; Project Management experience
