Senior Director, Quality

As the Senior Director, Quality, you will lead Arc'teryx's global Quality function, setting the strategic direction, operating model, and long-term roadmap for Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Materials Quality. You will define the departmental priorities required to support Sourcing and company objectives while ensuring our global manufacturing network delivers industry-leading product quality, integrity, compliance, and customer trust.

Responsibilities

Lead Arc'teryx's global Quality function, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Materials Quality; Set the strategic direction, operating model, and long-term roadmap for Quality; Build and lead a global organization of quality professionals and leaders; Define and lead the long-term Quality strategy and roadmap, including global quality systems, governance frameworks, and product integrity standards; Ensure the team achieves department operation and quality performance objectives; Establish and monitor KPIs for product integrity, vendor performance, risk management, and quality excellence; Ensure effective quality structure and processes are in place at factories; Develop and oversee a global supply base quality performance strategy, including T1 and T2 qualification standards; Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and governing bodies to facilitate product and facility certification; Partner with ESG to propel sustainability and traceability of products; Partner with Advanced Concepts to ensure product integrity as innovations move into bulk production; Partner with Raw Materials to establish raw material sourcing and quality process standards; Influence strategic business decisions through expertise in product integrity, quality risk, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing capabilities; Develop a Design-for-Manufacture process; Design a vendor onboarding program; Build a talent pipeline

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Certification in Analytical QA Systems, Technology or Engineering; 15+ years of leadership experience in quality management; Extensive knowledge of raw materials, technical construction, and quality systems; Demonstrated success leading a large, complex, global quality function or department; Proven ability to develop organizational strategy, operating models, systems, and functional capabilities; Strong knowledge of the end-to-end apparel development and manufacturing process; Experience leading others through transformation and building high-performing global teams; Track record of being a thoughtful leader propelling a high performing team; Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills; Proven performance history with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers; Strong communication and influencing skills; Extreme attention to detail
