Senior Electrical Engineer

We are a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, architects, environmental scientists, geologists, planners and landscape architects headquartered in Syracuse, NY, with branch offices throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine. B&L specializes in transportation engineering, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, land planning and site design, environmental services, facilities engineering, land surveying and asset management. We are currently seeking a resourceful, self-motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with the ability to provide high-level engineering services for a broad range of clientele. Applications for this position are primarily sought for Pittsburgh, PA; Camp Hill, PA; Baltimore, MD and Annapolis, MD, but are also being accepted for B&L’s other office locations in New York. Provide high-level engineering services for a broad range of clientele; Develop and manage dynamic, challenging projects that incorporate innovative and unique goals and objectives

Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering; Minimum 10-15+ years of diverse consulting engineering experience on municipal, commercial, private, and/or industrial facilities projects; Acute analytical skills; Capability to design and manage small to large projects; Comprehensive technical background across all facets of electrical engineering related to building and power distribution systems; Electrical service entrances; Medium voltage power equipment; Power distribution; Electrical studies; Emergency power; Lighting design; Alarm systems; Telecommunications; Industrial process related electrical; Excellent communication and writing skills; Microsoft Office platform; AutoCAD and/or Revit; Strong working knowledge of industry standards such as IEEE and NFPA; State building codes

Broad familiarity with the work of other project team members, including architects and structural, mechanical and civil engineers; Interfacing with internal and external clients; Mentoring younger staff; Assistance with proposal development; Certified Energy Manager; LEED AP; Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in NY, PA or MD (or eligibility to obtain)
