Senior Field Engineer - (Pre-Comm)

The Senior Field Engineer applies Engineering practices and knowledge to improve the Field Engineering Discipline within McDermott. They must act as a lead engineer offshore and share the conceptual and practical expertise related to the Field Engineering Discipline. Additionally, provide solutions and prepare a mitigation plan to resolve complex problems and apply their discipline-specific knowledge to improve the process and services. The Senior Field Engineer plays a pivotal role with customers, clients, project or service activities with the team assigned, being within the specifications, standards as applicable for the client side, and follows McDermott guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities

Review all technical project documents and identify discrepancies; Attend bid interviews; Ensure bid inputs approved; Prepare technical clarifications; Develop plan and allocate resources; Monitor project progress; Lead creation of installation documentation; Ensure documentation accuracy; Coordinate with project departments; Support engineering-related matters; Determine sequence of work, equipment, crew, and duration; Prepare bar chart schedule; Prepare miscellaneous costs for offshore work; Coordinate with Construction Support Engineering; Prepare written procedures; Review proposal and identify subcontract work; Prepare technical description and bid pricing for subcontracted work; Review engineering-related information; Respond to technical clarifications; Prepare Technical Bid Evaluation; Evaluate subcontract qualifications; Provide tender resource and scheduling information; Coordinate with other functions; Review engineering studies; Prepare bid summary book; Prepare Dive Task Plan

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Seven-nine (7-9) years of experience in the oil and gas industry with Major Contractors or a consultant; At least two-three (2-3) years of Operations and Field Engineering experience; Thorough knowledge of Excel spreadsheet with Macro commands; MS Project scheduling software; Familiar with Subcontract activities; Basic knowledge of Microsoft tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.; Knowledge in Auto CAD
