Senior iOS Engineer, Customer Growth

Thumbtack is the one app you need to take care of and improve your home — from personalized guidance to AI tools and a best-in-class hiring experience. The Customer Acquisition, Growth, and Engagement team (CAGE) is focused on streamlining and innovating around the new and returning user experience for Thumbtack. Many of the sorts of changes we’re making are unproven, and as a data driven company, we prefer to run experiments that vet our hypotheses.

Responsibilities

Drive iOS feature projects to completion, focusing on the business and customer impact of those projects; Break down large projects into concrete deliverables and milestones that make it easy to track progress; Work closely with back-end engineers, product managers, designers, data analysts, and other teams to gather feedback, prioritize projects, and deliver solutions; Communicate project status to stakeholders, proactively raising potential blockers and other risks; Explore new frameworks and processes while also being able to discuss when (or when not) to use them; Participate in a culture that values thoughtful code reviews and frequent deployments

Requirements

Passionate iOS engineer with experience building, testing, releasing, and maintaining apps written in Swift or Objective-C; Proven track record of shipping consumer-facing apps that users love on the App Store; Cross-functional collaboration and communication
