Senior Manager, Regional Events UCANZ

As Senior Manager, Regional Events UCANZ, you will be the regional leader responsible for the strategy, programming, production, and execution of Crunchyroll's sponsored, partnered, and owned events across the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. You will own the delivery of exceptional experiences for fans, licensors, partners, and internal stakeholders. The role reports to the Senior Director of Brand & Community, UCANZ. Crunchyroll is considering applicants for the location of Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

Lead the regional leadership, strategy, programming, production, and execution of sponsored, partnered, and owned events across the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand; Own the full event lifecycle from vision and strategy through planning, approvals, production, execution, and post-event measurement; Lead the UCANZ events strategy and build annual event plans; Lead the innovation, planning, and execution of Crunchyroll's presence at priority events; Own end-to-end production for UCANZ tentpole events and manage production agency briefing and execution; Lead UCANZ premiere events and develop fan screenings and premiere experiences; Manage relationships with Japanese partners, licensors, internal teams, agencies, and external stakeholders; Review and recommend event budgets and direct event reporting and ROI evaluation; Lead health and safety protocols and standards across UCANZ events; Lead, support, and develop a high-performing regional event production team

Requirements

8+ years of relevant B2C event programming and production experience; 3+ years of people management experience; Demonstrated experience leading complex, high-visibility fandom events from strategy through execution; Strong knowledge of anime, pop culture, streaming, and current regional audience trends; Experience working in a global organization and/or delivering international events; Experience partnering with major fandom events in the United States and Canada; Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and represent Crunchyroll with confidence in high-visibility settings; Experience in identifying and managing creative event agencies; Experience managing and keeping track of budgets; Strong project management and keeping track of event milestones; Knowledge of health and safety protocols and standards across UCANZ events; Demonstrated ability to balance creative ambition with operational rigor and accountability for results

Nice to have

Having established relationships with event venues and vendor partners; Experience with, or a working understanding of, events in Australia and New Zealand; Experience working with Japanese partners and licensors; Japanese language proficiency
