Senior Medical Writer

Our Senior Medical Writers are responsible for driving day-to-day project delivery (with support from others) within an account in order to create outstanding medical content across a variety of therapy areas. This position is ideal for an experienced writer who has a passion for scientific and medical developments, a keen interest in AI, and who enjoys tackling new problems, interacting with clients, and mentoring internal team members.

Responsibilities

Driving day-to-day project delivery with support from others; creating outstanding medical content across a variety of therapy areas; leading discussions with clients and external experts; utilizing a broad range of AI solutions; leading content delivery for complex projects; interrogating client briefs and addressing feedback; developing compelling narratives from complex information; taking responsibility for overall quality of deliverables; reviewing junior writers' work and providing constructive feedback; leading elements of the on-site programme across events; leading scientific discussions with clients and external experts; supporting development of scientific content for new business; identifying new business opportunities; providing timely and accurate communication on writer hours and project progress; training and mentoring junior writers

Requirements

Strong scientific background with a degree in a scientific or medical discipline; high level of academic achievement expected; previous experience of medical writing at MW level or above; passion for and profound understanding of healthcare, science, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry; keen interest in AI technologies; personable, articulate, and capable of nurturing relationships; previous experience mentoring MWs and interacting regularly with clients
