Senior Principal Hardware Project Manager – SoC/MCU

Individual will be responsible for managing the hardware development of SOC/MCU from concept to mass production. During the life cycle of the project, he would be responsible for

Responsibilities

Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in of HW Chip development (CPU’s/GPU’s/MCU’s/SoC’s/Memory dev etc.); Able to plan and manage complex Projects spanning across multiple departments and different development phases (from concept to production).; Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, verification, software, and manufacturing to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.; Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones.; Ensure & manage project KPIs.; Identify the opportunities to improve productivity & development efficiency.; Should be able to upfront Identify & mitigate the risks.; Managing timely and clear communication upwards & within the team.; Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders, including senior management and customers.; Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.; Sharing the best practices with other project managers.; Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.; 12+ years of experience in hardware project management, with a focus on SoC/MCU development.; Able to communicate in both Japanese & English; Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex hardware projects.; Strong understanding of MCU/SoC architecture, design, and verification processes.; Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.; PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
